When Should You Stop Dating Someone You Don’t Feel a Spark With?

While I realize that my question up there seems like a no-brainer, I’ve been kind of grappling with the idea of dating someone who is, for all intents and purposes, a nice guy, but who I’m not really that interested in. I don’t know if I am required (by decency) to cut things off, or if I should give this guy the benefit of the doubt and hang out with him a couple more times before writing him off. When do you stop dating someone when you’re unsure about how you feel?

Do You Need to Feel That “Click”?

I’ve mentioned here before that I go on my fair share of first dates, and lately I’ve been talking myself into not writing people off for a less-than-impeccable first impression. It’s gotten me to start wondering if there are really very many people in relationships who can say, with utter truth, that when they met the person they’re with, they felt that “click.” You know, when the stars align and conversation is perfect and they kiss you goodnight and it’s not awful and you go home floating? That. Is it really that common? And more importantly, is it necessary for something to work?

Do You Prefer Dates Be On the Weekend?

When it comes to planning dates, I’ve noticed that I have a weird quirk in that I don’t generally prefer dates with new people be on Friday or Saturday nights. Before you write me off as a complete weirdo, let me explain. Many of us, including me, work somewhat dull desk jobs Monday through Friday, and when it comes to the weekend, I want to spend my time off with people I know, like, and am comfortable with. Put simply, a brand new person in my life is less likely to snag time on those nights than my friends are.
